SINGLE DECK

In the game of Blackjack, the term "single deck" means that only one deck of cards is used for a blackjack game.  Assuming that the casino is not using 6:5 blackjack, or Spanish 21, or Super Fun 21 or any other of the game variations and is playing normal blackjack, single deck blackjack is actually more favorable to the player.

If however, the casino is using a single deck but playing 6:5 blackjack, or Spanish 21, or Super Fun 21 or a similar game variation, then the player should be aware that normal blackjack - even with multiple decks - will give the player better odds.  If you are simply looking for best odds in blackjack, look for a normal blackjack game and avoid the variations, and then look for the game using the least number of decks.
