HARMONIZE MUSIC CHORD
|
HARMONIZE Harmonize means to have more than one musical note - via singing or musical instruments or both - and have the end effect sound melodious and pleasing to the ear. For the most part (actually we know of no exceptions) for musical sounds to be harmonious they are generally multiple notes within a chord. Chords, which are multiple notes played at the same time, are determined somewhat mathematically based on a long musical history. The distances between the notes that make up the chords are selected to give a harmonious effect and also to provide an overall chord impact. Such impact might be simple correctness in sound as a Major chord might provide, a sad sound such as a minor chord might do, a complete sound such as a 6th chord might do. Harmonizing also follows chord conventions since some harmonies may not sound settled or stable by themselves, but may be transitions. Again, some of the analogies into musical chords would include suspended note chords (sus). |
